This course will equip you with the fundamental skills for learning to identify birds in the UK. This is done by listening to their calls and songs, as well as checking their appearance. We will guide you through what to look for and how to tell similar looking birds apart.

We will cover ten baseline species of birds to compare and contrast against, for both visual and vocal identification. These are common and widespread species within the UK, which should be accessible to most people to see out in their local countryside, park or gardens.
